Boys Club activities included visits to a corn maze, bowling, Go Karts, miniature golf, movies, Laser Tag and  a navy ship at the Navy Yard.

on the ship.  Both Girls and Boys  Clubs went together to play laser tag, all had a GREAT time

Our learning experience; sharing and growing together as one, everyone getting along with no arguing.

Parent Groups - What’s the most important job you’ll ever do and don’t receive any training for?  Parenting, of

course! For most of us, situations come up in parenting all the time, where we are unsure of what to do.  Luckily, there

are tried and true techniques that can be of help at these times.  The center will be hosting parent groups to

discuss issues and provide support to families in the area of parenting.   Call us for more information or to sign up.

Tutor Tips for Students:  Activities to stay in Mental Shape.

  1) Read everyday. Write about what you read. At least 30 minutes a day

  2) Learn 1 to 5 new vocabulary words and use them daily.

  3) Visit one new place every week. Try museums, nature centers, parks or music events.

  4) Keep a journal of your activities, ideas and feelings.
